| Discussion on Function Design of Research Evaluation Tools with ESI as an Example |

| Abstract:The paper introduces the characteristics of Essential Science Indicators (ESI) as well as its index system, analyzes the application status of ESI, thinks about the ideas for function design of scientific research evaluation tools, puts forward some suggestions, including: setting weights to balance the differences among different disciplines, constructing specification files for names and institutes, improving findability and visualization extent, etc. |
