Medical information collection development is still the important mission of medical library in the network environment.Library of Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences & Peking Union Medical College studies information collection development strategy in theory,and sets a people oriented ultimate goal,which is meeting the needs of users and make sure the information is utilized effectively. In practice,we standardize the collection development work flow,enhance collaboration and expand the collection channel,promote the collection development in a sustainable way.
