The paper retrieves literatures in SCIE database and analyzes the subject headings of the literatures with SATI, a tool for information statistics and analysis of literature titles. It selects 12 subject headings with the highest occurrence frequency and classifies them into 4 categories by cluster analysis,summarizes the research hotspots in SCI papers on the medical application of virtual reality technology from 2005 to 2015.
