The paper summarizes the research status of data mining from Traditional Chinese Medical (TCM) records from five aspects:tool selection, data acquisition, data pre-processing, data mining and result translation. It finds that information in TCM record data mining mainly include the symptoms, syndrome types and prescriptions, and the mining methods involved include the association rules, complex network, clustering and classification. This research can provide reference for topic and method selection in respect to TCM clinical data mining.
