The paper describes the concept of Artificial Intelligence(AI),introduces the development history, application and working mechanism of medical expert system, as well as the emerging background, advantages and application in medical field of Artificial Neural Nets(AAN). It also proposes suggestions for future development of artificial intelligence in medical field.
