The paper elaborates on the existing semantic similarity calculation methods between Gene Ontology(GO) terminologies, puts forward the Random Walk with Restart-based Similarity Measure (RWRSM) based on the Gauss Kernel Function, tests the performance of the calculation method and carries out analysis. The result shows that the calculation method is superior to any other calculation method since it increases the accuracy and stability.
