The paper introduces the development background, origin and development opportunity of Consumer Health Informatics (CHI), expounds the development course and application technology system of CHI, and puts forward some ideas of the disciplinary education construction, including curriculum setting, teaching methods and personnel training direction, so as to provide useful references for accelerating the discipline construction of CHI.
