The paper introduces the connotation of patient engagement, analyzes the role of patients’ engagement in hospital informatization construction, discusses the ways of patients’ engagement in hospital informatization construction and related practices, and puts forward some suggestions, including establishing an incentive mechanism, strengthening publicity and education for patients, providing policy support, etc.
