Purpose/Significance To compare and contrast the development situation, constituent elements and implementation status of the electronic health record summary in countries such as the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada and Australia, and to provide references for the construction and development of the electronic health record summary in China. Method/Process Using the methods of network survey as well as the literature research, the electronic health record summary in foreign countries is investigated, summarized, and compared.Result/Conclusion The construction of the electronic health record summary in China should strengthen the top-level design and clarify the development goals; unify standards and standardize construction; ensure data security; provide convenient access and application methods; strengthen data analysis and utilization.
