Purpose /Significance To reveal the current status of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) health and elderly care policies in China，and to put forward policy optimization suggestions，so as to promote the sustainable development of TCM health and elderly care. Method /Process A three-dimensional analysis framework of“theme - tool - effectiveness”is constructed. The BERTopic model，content analysis method and PMC index model are comprehensively used to analyze 16 policies on TCM health and elderly care. The current distribution and development stage of policy themes，the structural characteristics of policy tool usage and the overall effectiveness of policies are summarized. Result /Conclusion TCM health and elderly care policies in China are currently in the stage of in-depth implementation. It is suggested to strengthen the coordination of policy content，improve the talent cultivation system，and optimize the structure of policy tools，etc.
