The paper compares the different medical system between the US and Canada, points out the difficulties which are challenging two countries. Research on investment benefit of medical information by different research institutes in two countries shows that standardization and interoperability are the best ways for developing medical informatization, thus the result could give reference to current Chinese health care system reform.
