The paper introduces the general view of post-graduates dissertation in Dalian Medical University and the importance of constructing dissertation database, expounds the practice of constructing dissertation database using TRS digital library management system. Moreover,it discusses the series issues that may occur in the construction process, including index, collection number definition, reader retrieval and utilization, etc.
