The paper adopts Derwent World Patent Index retrieval and analysis system to describe the international status of pharmacy patent application. Through analysis and comparison between the US. and Japan, which have powerful research and development capability, the paper knows the development tendency in pharmacy technology of the two countries, provides valuable reference for promoting the research levels of pharmacy technology in China.
