Combining with the connotation of special collection, the paper expounds that special collection should highlight the personalities, reveals its information feature, diversity as well as readers’ cognitive to special collection, identifies its location so as to improve service level of libraries. It also points out that the satisfaction extent of readers is closely relevant to special collection and the services.
