The paper discusses the necessity of regional PACS construction in Beijing area, points out the problems which are need to be resolved from the following aspects: management mechanism, laws, security, technology, funding, etc. Based on the introduction of experiences and modes of regional PACS construction in parts of domestic regions, it puts forward concrete solutions and feasible construction modes for regional PACS construction in Beijing area.
