The paper introduces the safety requirement for hospital information system (HIS), depicts the functions of various techniques in information system, including cluster, RAID, data backup, disaster tolerance, virus management and safe maintaining. It points out that HIS safety not only rely on technology but also rely on the capacity and attitude of who is going to operate the system, especially the safety consciousness.
