The paper introduces the development status of hospital informatization and regional health informatization in American as well as experiences and lessons, discusses the references to China. It points out that we should mainly focus on improving governance structure of hospital information management, transforming the positioning of information center, reducing dependence on suppliers and so on in the construction of hospital informatization; pay more attention to support from relevant institutions, coordinating the profits of each parties and realizing altogether wins
