The paper introduces the concept and the content of medical record management, in which existing problems are proposed. It points out that electronic medical record is a new mode adapting to the requirements of medical records management at the present stage. With the description of international and domestic utilization situation, the paper analyzes the existing problems in applying of electronic medical record. Combining with the specific practices of Xiangning country hospital in Shanxi province,it probes the actual application of electronic medical record in hospitals.
