The paper introduces the concept and the characteristic of medical information services, points out the status quo and the existing problems of information services in medical libraries, analyzes the main characteristics of the service under new circumstance, furthermore, proposes strategies for its development, namely, establishing and improving information service system, innovating service concept and optimizing personnel structure,etc.
