The paper expounds the development status of national defense medical information work, also the facing opportunities and the challenges. It proposes the initial ideas for innovative development of national defense medical information work from five aspects: innovating concepts and improving management,meeting the needs of career development and strengthening capability construction, focusing on priorities and optimizing resources allocation,paying more attention to communication and cooperation, conducting education in-depth and team construction.
