User similarity computing plays a very important role in collaborative filtering systems, user recommendation systems as well as social network services. Based on the analysis of user relationships in the virtual medical communities, the paper proposes a user similarity computing algorithm based on Medical Subject Headings (MeSH). On the virtual medical communities′ platform, users can get information consult and mutual communication, so as to effectively allocate medical care resources.
