The paper introduces the retrieval channels and methods of 2 free websites for foreign pharmaceutical patents information and patent literatures in common used foreign pharmaceutical databases. Taking cefdinir as an example, it analyzes the advantages of various databases in retrieving pharmaceutical patents information, proposes suggestions on increasing precision and recall of foreign pharmaceutical patent literatures, promoting effective development and utilization of patent information.
