The paper introduces the subject retrieval function as well as using skills of "China Hospital Knowledge Database (CHKD)", discusses the existing problems of subject retrieval function and subject indexing work, points out that subheadings combination should be well added and the existed subjects in the journal literatures should be noticed, so as to provide better services for medical professionals in literature retrieval and scientific work.
