The paper discusses the characteristics of using blog to assist teaching as well as its impact on medical information retrieval teaching, proposes the problems on utilizing blog to assist teaching, namely, paying attention to the role of teachers′ guidance, designing teaching contents carefully, updating blog timely, paying equal attention to communication in the class and blog communication.
