The paper introduces the concept and method of ontology to the field of acupuncture-moxibustion informatization,sets up the ontology model of acupuncture-moxibustion by the application of protégé 30,discusses the knowledge expression and indexing methods of the ancient books under the ontology framework,the testing database of the ancient books is constructed. It proves that the ontology model of acupuncture-moxibustion presents a good prospect in the retrieving of the ancient books
