The paper systematically reviews the development status of nursing informatics abroad and development process in the recent 30 years in our country, puts forward the existing problems and corresponding countermeasures and suggestions for our country, such as the theoretical system creation，innovative development, scientific research team, education system and so on, in order to arouse the concern of researchers in nursing academia, promote steady and rapid development of nursing informatics in China.
