The paper uses CiteSpace to analyze the health literacy related papers which come from Web of Science, displays the evolution path and development frontier of international health literacy research by visualizing map. The results show that research trends are mainly concentrated in health education, reading modes of communication, assessment tools, functional health literacy, mental health literacy, health status ,emergencies, etc.
