Abstract:Using the method of web content analysis, the paper investigates the characteristics of postgraduate education in 10 LIS schools in the British universities such as the nomenclatures of these schools and their parent institutions, specialisations in postgraduate courses, curriculum design and teaching methods It believes that the postgraduate LIS education in the British universities has formed their own characteristics, and the employment needs in the society are the impetus for the development of postgraduate LIS education in the British universities
