The paper focuses on the existing problems in book classification in college and university libraries, analyzes the factors which affecting the quality of book classification, puts forward specific strategies including formulating detailed classification norms suitable for their own library, standardizing the operational process, encouraging cooperation, perfecting talents incentive mechanism, etc.
