Starting from the characteristics of teaching-research type medical university as well as the fundamental tasks of university libraries, the paper discusses the location，collection information resources construction and evaluation，network construction，management and services of teaching-research type medical university libraries，so as to provide better services for teaching，scientific research and personnel training.
