The paper analyzes the problems existed in the operation and maintenance of data center servers, describes the implementation plan of server virtualization as well as the problems that should be noted during implementation process. The application of server virtualization technology solves many problems in data center expanding process, such as space, energy consumption, maintenance and so on, improves the working efficiency and saves the operating cost.
