Based on analyzing current status of subject librarian service and characteristics of scientific users′ information demands in Medical Library of Chinese PLA, combined with practices the paper outlooks the future of subject librarian service form two angles: embedded in users′ environment and fitting for the needs of users, so as to provide references for subject librarian improving service quality and service level.
