Taking 360 items of novelty assessment service during 2007 to 2011 in Capital Medical University as information sources, the paper carries out analysis from the following aspects: time distribution, type of disciplines and institutions, novelty assessment objective, grade of the projects, novelty assessment staffs' and auditors' status, coverage of retrieving, etc. A general development status of novelty assessment is introduced to readers, corresponding advices are put forward as well.
