Based on the analysis on the situation and existing problems in continuing education for hospital librarians in the new technological environment, the paper stresses the significance of continuing education for librarians and puts forward some new ideas for librarians continuing education from establishing and perfecting the continuing education management system, introducing impelling mechanism, formulating and implementing the training strategy, innovating the concept of education, planning the librarians and so on several aspects.
