The paper describes the development about the medical term standardization construction in foreign countries and analyses the current situation and main problems in China. Then enlightenment obtained from the foreign is summarized as following aspects: overall plan, increasing capital investment to promote application, strengthening international and the industry coordination , development and innovation, and cultivating high level talents.
