Through investigation on one third-level grade-A hospital in Shanxi province, the paper analyzes the comprehensive benefits of Hospital Information System（HIS） from the aspects of system cost, working efficiency, management efficiency and social benefits. Corresponding countermeasures and opinions are proposed, so as to improve economic effectiveness of hospital information system positively.
