The paper investigates the utilization situation of existing traditional Chinese medical records databases and the needs of its users from the aspects of using targets, retrieval contents, text forms of traditional Chinese medical records, expectation for the databases through questionnaire. The result displays that some problems still exist in traditional Chinese medical records databases, and it is urgent to establish a more perfect traditional Chinese medical records database which is standardized, resource sharing and simple operation.
