Taking library of Huizhou university as an example, the paper carries out statistical analysis of sci-tech novelty assessment items between 2008 to 2012 from seven aspects, including number, sources, regional distribution, months distribution, grade, purpose and major. Advices are proposed according to the problems existed in current sci-tech novelty assessment and project management.
