The paper compares the retrieval approaches of basic retrieval, limited retrieval, subject retrieval, classification retrieval, journal retrieval, historical retrieval, advanced retrieval and author retrieval methods in China Biology Medicine Database(CBM) and Traditional Chinese Medicine Database(TCM), the characteristics of each databases are analyzed, so as to provide references for better use of the two databases.
