The paper introduces the concept of embedded librarians and embedded services, discusses the forms of developing embedded services in hospital libraries, analyzes the problems and puts forward advices, including insisting on pervasive services, constructing reader information database, improving study capability of librarians, coordinating and virtual embedding, strengthening evaluation and management, etc.
