Taking the teaching practice of medical information management major in Hainan Medical University for example, the paper proposes a scheme for hospital information system teaching reform according to the curriculum characteristics, including overall design, teaching steps design, practical teaching system design, appraisal scheme, etc. The practice shows that the application of this system could achieve good results.
