Combining with the practical status of the 520 Hospital of PLA, the paper introduces the large span upgrade of ORACLE database. The upgrades principle and notices are put forward, the upgrade process is elaborately described. Through the upgrade, the data processing capabilities and the availabilities of Hospital Information System(HIS) are Improved.
