The paper introduces the current situation of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) records, analyzes the utilization demands for TCM records. Combining with the structure characteristics of DC metadata and CNMARC, learning from the logic structure and language specification of The Logic Table of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Subject Structure, it then designs a structure of the TCM medical record database with 9 primary fields and several subfields, which reveals the content of TCM records comprehensively.
