The paper discusses the definition and connotation of Hospital Information System(HIS), put forward the "seven platform" construction mode, including four application software platforms and three information technical platforms. It points out that the HIS will better accord with the requirements of the hospital's operations management if follow the instruction of seven platforms, and the level of hospital informatization construction and hospital management will be improved.
