The paper analyzes the current status of pharmaceutical information services, designs a new pharmaceutical information service system based on SOA architecture and web services technology, introduces system architecture and function environment. This system has more function advantages compared to traditional pharmaceutical information system. It can provide more services including medicines retrieval, pharmaceutical documents retrieval, pharmaceutical patents retrieval, drug warnings, drug exposure, etc.
