The paper investigates the current status of different types of medical research information commons both in China and abroad, summarizes the service functions, service characters, service objects for the medical research information commons and points out the deficiency. Based on the above, it conducts a deep interview and demand surveys on the selected seven typical medical research teams, discusses the function expansion of medical research information commons.
