Taking the relationship between hypothyroidism and pregnancy as an example, the paper introduces the statistical analysis function of visual software Histcite, citation chronological chart as well as how to carry out main path analysis by Pajek. It points out the application of visual software in reference services in China Medical University library, the effect and significance of visual software in the transformation from traditional reference service to knowledge consulting service are also mentioned.
