Based on the current deficiencies of medical sci-tech novelty assessment in Sichuan province, the paper proposes several suggestions including establishing medical sci-tech novelty assessment service platform, sci-tech novelty assessment report database and sci-tech achievements management database, improving the literacy of staffs, etc. Attention should also be paid to new businesses such as SDI service, competitive intelligence services, intellectual property services, etc.
