The paper investigates the current status of information literacy of undergraduates from Youjiang Medical College for Nationalities, the result reveals that medical students′ information literacy in less developed regions is insufficient. Approaches to improve the literacy cultivation are proposed in the paper, as promoting the information literacy of teachers, forming curriculum system, paying attention to information ethics training and making full use of college and university libraries, etc.
