Choosing 23 kinds of international high-impacted journals in the medical informatics catalog of Journal Citation Report (2011) during 1999 and 2013 as studying objects, the paper analyzes the distribution of medical informatics related subjects using CiteSpace and combining with the related theory of co-citation, generalizes the distribution characteristics, aiming at clarifying the subject development process and providing references for corresponding researchers.
